The Martin MAC Aura is built for lighting designers who need a versatile wash luminaire capable of functioning as both a powerful beam and a wide-coverage wash in a single compact package. Its defining feature is the combination of a primary RGBW LED output with an independent RGB secondary Aura backlight array, eliminating the flat, synthetic appearance that limits many LED wash fixtures. This makes it a preferred choice for concert touring, theatrical production, and high-profile live events where visual depth and color rendering quality are non-negotiable.
With a zoom range of 11 to 58 degrees, the MAC Aura covers a wide range of applications from tight aerial beam work to broad audience wash coverage without requiring a fixture change. The onboard FX engine provides synchronized and independent beam and aura effects, and 33 LEE-referenced colors with variable-speed color-wheel rotation give programmers familiar reference points alongside raw RGBW mixing. Rapid pan and tilt movement, adjustable speed, and four independent dimming curve options give operators precise control in complex cue-heavy productions.
For installed and touring environments alike, the MAC Aura offers DMX and RDM support with USITT DMX512-A and ANSI/ESTA E1.20 compliance, Neutrik PowerCon in and through connections, and firmware updates via DMX using the Martin USB Duo interface. Its IP20-rated high-impact thermoplastic housing keeps weight to a minimum without sacrificing build quality, and a single M12 rigging point simplifies integration with standard Martin clamps. With a rated LED lifetime of 50,000 hours and full gamut color calibration from the factory, the MAC Aura delivers consistent output across fixtures in multi-unit rigs.
