The MAC Viper XIP is designed for lighting directors, rental companies, and production designers who need one fixture to cover concert stages, TV studios, EDM festivals, and opera houses without swapping rigs between indoor and outdoor environments. Its patent-pending XIP smart weatherproofing technology provides IP54 ingress protection while maintaining the low-noise operation that quiet broadcast and theatrical environments demand. The 760 W proprietary LED engine delivers 28,000 lumens of fixture-level output with a 5,800 K white point that sits precisely on the black body curve, eliminating green or magenta shift and making it reliable for both camera-facing broadcast lighting and audience wash applications.

Where comparably sized moving heads force trade-offs between output, noise, and effects density, the MAC Viper XIP consolidates the full Viper feature set into a compact, field-serviceable chassis. Dual rotating gobo wheels with light recycling add up to 25% output gain when gobos are inserted. The extended framing module provides four individually controllable blades with full curtain insertion and rotation, precision that followspot and key-light applications require. CMY color mixing, physical and virtual color temperature control spanning 2,000 K to 12,850 K, a 4-facet prism, iris, motorized zoom, and an interchangeable animation wheel give programmers and operators access to a full effects toolkit without supplemental fixtures.

Control integration spans DMX, RDM, Art-Net, sACN, and Martin P3 with automatic protocol detection and a built-in Ethernet switch featuring fail-safe bypass, reducing infrastructure complexity in large touring and installed rigs. Onboard NFC and a backlit LCD with battery-powered operation allow standalone addressing and configuration without a laptop or console. Available in black or white housing finishes, and in standard cardboard or SIP foam flight case insert packaging, the MAC Viper XIP scales to any deployment model, from single-unit installs to large touring inventory builds.
