The Neutrik RX Series right-angle XLR connector is built for engineers and technicians who need reliable 5-pin terminations in tight-clearance installations — stage boxes, floor pockets, DMX runs, and densely patched rack systems where a straight connector won't fit. As the successor to the RC Series, the RX brings measurable improvements in housing rigidity, strain relief performance, and contact integrity without adding bulk to the assembly footprint.
The improved latch-lock geometry eliminates the traditional housing window, resulting in a more structurally sound shell that holds its form under repeated cycling and rough handling. The chuck-type strain relief accepts a wide range of cable outer diameters and clamps securely without special tooling, reducing assembly time in production environments. The polyurethane boot gland protects the cable entry point from repeated bending stress — a critical factor in touring rigs and installed systems where cable flexes daily at the connector exit point.
With seven selectable cable outlet positions, this connector adapts to cable routing constraints that fixed-angle designs cannot accommodate. Rated to IEC 61076-2-103 and UL 94 V-0 flammability, it meets the compliance requirements expected in installed AV and theatrical lighting control applications. Color-coded rings and boots are available separately for system identification in complex multichannel wiring runs.
