The Neutrik NE8FDV-YK is a chassis-mount RJ45 receptacle built for permanent panel installation in touring stage boxes, broadcast infrastructure, and installed audio-over-IP networks. It fits standard D-series XLR cutouts, allowing integrators to add compliant network jacks to existing panels without custom fabrication or adapters. PCB vertical termination suits in-box or rack-panel circuit board assemblies where horizontal clearance is limited.

Unlike generic RJ45 bulkhead connectors, the NE8FDV-YK is engineered specifically to mate with etherCON cable connectors, which latch onto the receptacle for a mechanically secure connection that resists accidental pull-out during live production. This retention mechanism is critical in environments where cables under tension or frequent patch changes would otherwise compromise a standard snap-fit RJ45. Category 5 compliance supports 10Base-T and 100Base-TX Ethernet, making it suitable for Dante, AES67, and similar AVB/AoIP signal chains.
