  • All-Metal Housing Replaces Plastic Shell For Improved Durability And EMI Shielding
  • Chuck-Type Strain Relief Locks Cable Jacket Mechanically For Reliable Retention
  • Slimline Shell Fits High-Density Jackfields At Standard Jack Pitch
  • Precision Machined One-Piece Tip Contact Eliminates Rivet Failure And Socket Hookup
  • Solder Contacts Provide Secure, Low-Resistance Termination For Professional Builds

The Neutrik RX Series right-angle 1/4" phone plug is engineered for professional audio applications where space, durability, and signal integrity cannot be compromised. Cable builders, touring engineers, and integrators working on guitar rigs, audio snakes, speaker systems, amplifiers, and mixing consoles rely on this plug when a straight connector simply won't fit the application or the jackfield density demands a slimmer profile.

The RX Series addresses a real problem on dense patch bays and jackfields: traditional plugs are too wide to sit cleanly side by side. The slimline zinc diecast shell meets the 15.88 mm jack pitch standard, making it the correct choice for high-density installations where every millimeter matters. The chuck-type strain relief — Neutrik's proven mechanical retention system — locks cable jackets firmly without relying on friction alone, protecting solder joints under repeated flex and pull in live and installed environments.

Where competitors use multi-piece tip contacts assembled with rivets, Neutrik machines the tip contact from a single piece of brass, eliminating the failure point that causes tips to hook inside sockets or break under stress. The fully metal housing replaces the plastic outer shell found on the predecessor C Series, adding mechanical strength and passive EMI shielding — a meaningful upgrade for cable runs in electrically noisy environments like stage racks and broadcast installations.
