The Neutrik NP2XX-SILENT is built for guitarists, touring technicians, and live production crews who need to change instruments mid-set without introducing noise into the signal chain. The integrated reed switch automatically shorts the cable tip upon disconnection, preventing the transient pops and squeals that occur when unplugging a live instrument from an active input.

Where standard plugs leave the signal path open during a swap, the silentPLUG's hermetically sealed switching contacts ensure a clean, silent disconnect every time. The chuck-type cable strain relief handles wire up to 18 AWG, and the TPE and PA6 shell with rubber cushion overlay resists the mechanical abuse of regular stage use.
