The Neutrik PX Series 1/4" stereo phone plug is engineered for professional audio technicians, cable fabricators, and systems integrators who demand reliability at scale. At 14.5 mm wide, it is the thinnest A-gauge 1/4" plug available, making it the only choice when wiring jackfields with a 15.88 mm pitch — a common constraint in broadcast bays, touring stage racks, and installed sound patchbays where standard-width plugs simply will not fit.

Unlike consumer-grade alternatives, the PX Series replaces the conventional riveted tip with a precision-machined one-piece contact. This eliminates the two most common field failures: tip hook-up inside a socket and contact breakage under repeated insertion. The chuck-type strain relief — a Neutrik-exclusive design — grips the cable jacket mechanically rather than relying on friction alone, extending service life across thousands of mate cycles on a touring snake, studio patchbay, or installed snake system.

The zinc diecast shell is finished with a KTL coating for corrosion resistance, and the solder-type contacts accept wire up to 1 mm² for flexible use across guitar leads, speaker cables, insert cables, and multi-pair snakes. Compliance with IEC 60603-11 and EIA RS-453 makes these plugs specifiable for install contracts requiring documented standards adherence.
