Its Slam RAX door system replaces conventional rack covers with slam-latch panels that secure firmly during transport and retract completely inside the frame during performance, eliminating the clutter and lost-time that plague traditional rack cases on busy stages. Unlike fully enclosed rack cases that trap heat and transmit shock directly to sensitive electronics, the OPSR20UW uses a dedicated internal shock-mount frame assembly that creates an air gap between the electronics and the outer walls. This open-frame architecture provides meaningful vibration and impact absorption while simultaneously allowing heat to dissipate — a critical advantage for amplifiers, DSPs, and power conditioners running long sets. Front and rear rack rails are included, accommodating a full 20U of gear in a single chassis.
Constructed from Hexagon Industrial Board with an industrial black finish, the chassis is designed to absorb the mechanical punishment of professional touring without cracking or delaminating. Four heavy-duty caster assemblies — two with locking brakes — provide stable, maneuverable ground transport, and the stackable design with integrated caster dishes means these racks nest efficiently in truck bays and storage facilities. A built-in label dish supports quick identification across multi-rack touring rigs.
