The DJM-250MK2 from Pioneer DJ is a mixer that has inherited some of the professional features of the popular DJM-900NXS2, such as the Magvel crossfader and Sound Color FX filter, with a clear layout that frees you up to perform complicated scratch techniques. Straightforward controls and dedicated 3-band isolators let you scratch and mix instinctively. This mixer’s dithering technology provides warm, high-quality audio whether you’re playing from digital or analog sound sources.
The DJM-250MK2 includes a built-in USB sound card that allows you to connect the mixer to a PC or Mac and integrate with CDJs, turntables, and rekordbox’s premium DJ software. Not only does this give you the versatility of plug-and-play, but it also makes it super simple to record your mixes directly to your computer’s hard drive. Pioneer DJ’s robust Magvel faders deliver smooth control in the face of constant use. Two metal shafts support the fader’s knobs, while an innovative contact-free magnetic system is engineered to last through millions of movements. The DJM-250MK2’s channel faders enable precise, fluid mixes, while the 3-band isolators allow for accuracy across the highs, mids, and lows alike.
Each channel comes with a dedicated Sound Color FX filter, a premium feature gleaned from Pioneer DJ’s flagship mixer, the DJM-900NXS2. The Sound Color FX filter can be implemented simply by turning the knob on each channel, twisting the parameter knob to adjust texture, and playing with resonance and tension until you get the exact effect you want.
