The ProCo Sound A/V Interface Wallplate is engineered for installed sound environments where consumer-grade sources must feed professional PA mic inputs cleanly. Integrators specifying conference rooms, houses of worship, lecture halls, and multipurpose venues rely on this dual-gang wallplate to bridge the level and impedance gap between phonographs, cassette decks, VCRs, and video projectors and the microphone inputs of installed amplifiers or mixers.
The device accepts unbalanced line-level signals via stereo RCA inputs, resistively mixed to monaural, while a separate female XLR connector brings an independent announcer or lecturer mic input out to an output barrier strip — eliminating the need for additional signal routing hardware at the wall position. A 1/4" phone jack accommodates speaker-level sources through a built-in dummy load and attenuator network, and a low-pass filter rolls off high-frequency content to keep intelligibility clean downstream.
The ground-lift switch addresses the hum and buzz that invariably surfaces in multi-source installed environments, breaking the shield connection between input and output to eliminate ground loops without rewiring. Available in black anodized aluminum or brushed stainless steel to match standard wallplate systems, this interface mounts in a dual-gang box for clean, permanent installation wherever A/V source integration is required.
