ProCo Sound DMX3U-BO-6 DMX Over Cat 3-Universe Breakout Fan

The ProCo Sound DMX3U-BO-6 is a preterminated DMX-over-Category breakout fan designed for lighting engineers and integrators who need to consolidate multiple DMX universes onto a single CAT6 or CAT5e run. The 3-universe break-out configuration terminates three DMX lines into one Neutrik EtherCON connector, reducing cable complexity across long stage, arena, or installed venue runs where conduit space and connector count matter.

The DoC system is built for real-world production environments: touring rigs where cable management and speed of deployment are critical, permanent installs where long infrastructure runs are required, and rental inventory that needs to interoperate cleanly with industry-standard break boxes. The DMX3U-BO-6 is fully compatible with the DoC4U-I and DoC4U-O Break In/Out Boxes, which support 2, 3, or 4 universe configurations and mount with either an eyelet or truss-clamp option — giving production and install teams flexible infrastructure without custom fabrication.

Where individual DMX snake runs would require multiple connectors and multiple cable paths, the DoC fan approach reduces that to a single structured-cabling run with a standardized EtherCON interface at each end, improving reliability and simplifying troubleshooting on complex lighting systems.
