The ProX T-8MRSS MK2 is built for touring engineers, DJ production rigs, and installed AV technicians who need to transport both power amplifiers and a mixer in a single protected case. The 8U vertical front-load section accommodates standard 19" rack equipment at a 20" rail depth, while the 10U open-top section is purpose-sized for audio mixers that do not fit conventional rack form factors. Dual steel mounting rails keep gear secure against road vibration without transferring stress to rack ears, a common failure point in lighter-duty alternatives.
Construction uses 3/8" (9mm) plywood laminated with ProX's Honeycomb Digital surface finish, which resists abrasion across repeated load-in and load-out cycles. Steel ball corners, industrial-strength butterfly twist latches with padlock capability, and dual anchor rivets add structural integrity at every stress point. Recessed spring-action side handles reduce fatigue during single-person transport. Front and rear removable lids provide access from either side of the case, which is valuable in tight stage or rack room layouts.
The T-8MRSS MK2 is also compatible with the T-LPSMRMK2 sliding laptop shelf, sold separately, making it a practical choice for DJ engineers who run a laptop alongside their mixer and outboard gear.
