The ProX X-ALTO7FT is a 7-foot steel U-grid module built for production and event lighting teams who need a reliable ground-support solution for moving head fixtures without relying on a full truss system. It is well-suited for touring productions, nightclubs, event rental companies, and installed entertainment venues where overhead rigging is not practical or permitted.
The module ships as a complete kit including the X-ALTO7FTRIG upper grid section and the X-ALTOBASE, giving operators everything needed to field a stable, freestanding rig. Four adjustable 2-inch bars allow fixture positions to be dialed in vertically in 2-inch increments, each bar rated to 50 lbs of evenly distributed load. Four weight blocks per side, each weighing 5 lbs, are included to ballast the base against tip-over in dynamic environments, with capacity to accept supplemental weight as needed.
Mobility and placement flexibility are addressed through the choice of rubber feet for stationary use or casters for repositioning between sets or scenes. The structure is also compatible with truss clamping for hybrid deployment, though clamps are sold separately. For production teams that need to deploy and strike quickly, the design is engineered for fast assembly without specialized tools or rigging credentials.
