The ProX XLR-F to USB Audio Cable is built for podcasters, content creators, broadcasters, and live sound engineers who need a straightforward path from an XLR microphone into a computer without adding an audio interface to the chain. The passive design draws on the computer's native USB audio support, so there are no drivers to install, no extra hardware to power, and no complicated routing to configure. It works with standard dynamic stage microphones and condenser microphones that carry onboard battery power. Because the cable is passive, it does not supply phantom power, so condenser microphones that depend on an external phantom power source will require a separate solution.
At the signal level, these cables are built around 20 AWG Oxygen-Free Copper conductors that minimize resistance and loss across the full run. A high-density 94% braided OFC copper spiral shield surrounds the conductor to block electromagnetic interference and ambient noise, and the compact cable diameter reduces eddy currents for a cleaner transfer. Complete coil technology with consistent weave tolerances maintains accuracy and clarity from mic capsule to software. Gold plated all-metal connectors at both ends resist corrosion and hold up through repeated connect and disconnect cycles.
