The zinc die-cast chassis is the core reason these connectors hold up in working installations. Unlike plastic-bodied alternatives, the die-cast body resists flexing through repeated plug and unplug cycles, keeping the panel cutout tight and the connector face flush over years of use. The steel latch locking mechanism provides positive retention on every cable connection, eliminating the intermittent signal loss and accidental disconnection that plague installations built with lesser hardware.
Mounting is handled through a dual screw system sized for a standard 15/16" panel cutout. The two-point fastening prevents rotation after installation, keeping the connector oriented correctly on any panel surface.
