The Q-SYS AcousticDesign series targets systems integrators and AV designers building distributed audio in corporate, hospitality, retail, and institutional facilities. The 150° conical DMT waveguide delivers even sound pressure across wide ceiling grids, reducing total speaker count compared to conventional designs that produce hot spots and high-frequency roll-off at coverage edges. This efficiency advantage makes the series well suited for open-plan offices, hotel lobbies, retail floors, and healthcare common areas where uniform coverage is a specification requirement.
Integration with the Q-SYS ecosystem enables Advanced Intrinsic Correction voicings applied at the processor level, removing the need for external EQ hardware and streamlining system commissioning. The integrated 70/100V transformer with 16-ohm bypass gives contractors the flexibility to wire into constant-voltage distributed systems or low-impedance topologies within the same installation, accommodating multi-zone deployments of varied scale.
Contractor-focused mechanical design sets this series apart from generic ceiling speakers. The 3x double-stepped dog-ear blind mount works in drop ceilings without above-ceiling access, and the included C-ring with tile rails speeds rough-in. The snap-fit magnetic grille supports tool-free servicing after installation. IP-34 ingress protection and a wide operating temperature range extend viable deployment locations to semi-exposed or mechanically ventilated spaces, and UL2043 and UL1480 listings confirm compliance for air handling plenum installations where safety codes apply.
