The Q-SYS AcousticDesign Series two-way ceiling speaker is engineered for AV integrators and systems designers deploying permanent installed audio in commercial, hospitality, corporate, and house-of-worship environments. Its bass reflex enclosure pairs an 8-inch LF driver with a coaxial HF compression driver, delivering wide dynamic range and consistent tonal character across large, multi-zone distributed audio systems.
The integrated 70V/100V step-down transformer with 8Ω bypass gives system designers maximum flexibility to run distributed or low-impedance configurations from a single speaker model, eliminating the need for separate transformer-tapped and direct-drive SKUs. The DMT waveguide maintains matched directivity through the crossover region, resulting in smooth, predictable frequency response across the full 90° conical coverage pattern — critical in applications where listener position varies widely across a room.
UL1480A and UL2043 certification authorizes use in air handling plenums without conduit, simplifying rough-in in commercial builds. The blind mount dog-ear system, included tile rails, and cardboard cutout templates reduce installation time in T-bar ceilings, while Intrinsic Correction voicings available through the Q-SYS Platform allow the speaker to be precisely tuned when paired with CX-Q amplifiers — making this series the natural choice for fully integrated Q-SYS ecosystems.
