The Q-SYS AD-S6 Surface Mount Speaker series is designed for integrators who need reliable, consistent coverage in permanent installations across hospitality, corporate, education, and public-space environments. The combination of a weather treated woofer and horn-loaded silk dome tweeter targets even audience distribution through broad conical DMT coverage, addressing the most common challenge in distributed system design: maintaining intelligibility and tonal balance across irregular seating areas without cluster stacking or excessive speaker counts.
The 16 Ω rated impedance and Euroblock connector with parallel output make these speakers a direct fit for low-impedance distributed topologies without the transformer losses or wiring complications that come with 70V or 100V designs. The painted ABS polymer enclosure with powder coated aluminum grille and sealed input panel cover is rated IP-54, qualifying the series for both indoor and outdoor deployments. Environmental testing to MIL-STD-810G standards for salt fog, humidity, and temperature cycling gives specifiers documentation to support outdoor and high-humidity venue installations.
