The Q-SYS DCA1222 is a two-channel, low-ohm power amplifier engineered for professional cinema sound installations. The DCA1222 is built around an exclusive PowerLight power supply that delivers consistent low-frequency performance without the bulk and weight common in cinema-class amplifiers. At only 3.5 rack units tall and 14 inches deep, it fits into standard-depth racks without requiring custom enclosures or additional rack depth, which directly reduces infrastructure cost on multi-screen installs. At 21 pounds, it can remain pre-wired in a rack during shipping, saving labor on deployment and maintenance cycles.

For cinema signal chain integration, the onboard HD15 DataPort interfaces directly with QSC DCP Digital Cinema Processors and DCM Digital Cinema Monitors, giving system designers a tightly coupled amplifier-processor link without external adapters. Protection features including active inrush current limiting, Patented Output Averaging short circuit protection, full DC-fault shutdown, and thermal/RF/ultrasonic protection make this amplifier appropriate for unattended, long-run commercial operation where downtime is not acceptable.
