The Q-SYS DCA3422 is a two-channel cinema power amplifier designed for non-networked cinema installations where high output, low noise, and rack efficiency are essential. Running at 800W per channel into 8Ω and scaling to 1700W per channel into 2Ω under EIA conditions, it delivers the headroom required to drive main screen channels and subwoofers in mid-to-large cinema environments without thermal compromise or circuit breaker trips at power-on.

Cinema integrators benefit from the DCA3422's DataPort interface, which enables direct communication with QSC DCP Digital Cinema Processors and DCM Digital Cinema Monitors — a feature absent from general-purpose install amplifiers. The exclusive PowerLight power supply maintains tight low-frequency control, while 2-Step H output circuitry keeps efficiency high under real-world dynamic loading. A hum-free noise floor exceeding 107 dB SNR meets the stringent acoustic requirements of dedicated cinema rooms where ambient noise floors are extremely low.

At 3.5 inches high and 14 inches deep, the DCA3422 fits standard-depth racks without the additional hardware or clearance demands of deeper chassis. Its 21-pound net weight and active inrush limiting make it practical for pre-wired systems that ship without deinstallation. Front recessed gain controls with a security cover and rear DIP-switch configuration for clip limiting, LF filtering, and bridge mode make this amplifier a controlled, field-stable solution for permanent cinema deployment.
