The Q-SYS Digital Cinema I/O Interface is built for cinema integrators deploying Q-SYS-enabled multiplexes, providing dedicated per-screen audio I/O that connects directly to Q-SYS Core processors over a redundant dual-gigabit Q-LAN network. It handles AES3/EBU digital inputs from projector IMBs and alternate content sources, mic/line analog inputs, HI/VI accessibility outputs, and powered monitor output to a passive speaker — consolidating the signal chain that would otherwise require multiple discrete devices.

Designed as part of a complete Q-SYS cinema ecosystem alongside network amplifiers and loudspeakers, this interface is managed entirely through Q-SYS Designer Software with support for custom UCIs, touchpanels, and mobile apps. Integrators can configure, monitor, and control audio across every room in a multiplex from a unified system view, eliminating the per-room complexity typical of traditional cinema audio architectures.

Relay control outputs and RS-232/GPI automation inputs give the interface the hooks needed to integrate with projector automation, lighting, and other venue control systems — making it well suited for both new cinema builds and upgrades to existing Q-SYS infrastructure. The 1RU form factor fits standard rack infrastructure in equipment rooms serving individual auditoriums.
