The Q-SYS QIO-FLEX4A is purpose-built for systems integrators deploying scalable installed audio networks on the Q-SYS platform. Where centralized I/O creates long analog cable runs, the QIO-FLEX4A moves mic/line connectivity, amplification, and control interfacing to the point of need, whether that is a huddle room, a hospitality suite, a classroom, or a corporate boardroom. Four software-configurable FLEX I/O channels handle mic or line sources without swapping hardware, and two onboard amplifier outputs eliminate the cost and space of a dedicated external amplifier for low-wattage reinforcement applications.

For integrators managing multi-room rollouts under cabling constraints, the QIO-FLEX4A offers practical infrastructure savings. Up to four units daisy-chain on a single network drop, and up to two units can share a daisy-chained DC power feed, reducing conduit requirements significantly. PoE+ operation from an IEEE 802.3at Type 2 source keeps power infrastructure simple. A 4x8 GPIO block and RS232 port connect directly to room controllers, lighting systems, and legacy serial devices without additional hardware, keeping the signal chain consolidated in a single half-rack-width enclosure.

Unlike generic audio expanders that require separate control gateways, the QIO-FLEX4A is managed natively inside Q-SYS Designer Software and Q-SYS Reflect, maintaining commissioning consistency across an entire Q-SYS deployment. Surface mounting hardware ships in the box, and optional rack-mount and power supply accessories cover installations where those formats are required. This device addresses the last-meter problem in distributed AV installs without adding complexity to the system design.
