The Q-SYS QIO-L4o is built for AV integrators and systems engineers who need to add local mic/line connectivity to a Q-SYS network without tying up processing hardware. By separating I/O from the core, it supports modular system growth across a wide range of installed sound, corporate AV, and broadcast environments. Each unit connects directly to Q-LAN via Gigabit Ethernet, and PoE capability eliminates the need for a local power run in most deployments.
In practice, the QIO-L4o fits wherever audio sources sit away from the rack: conference rooms, stage pockets, podiums, or overflow spaces. Phantom power on inputs makes it compatible with professional condenser microphones alongside consumer line-level sources, giving integrators flexibility without adding external preamps. Microphone detection enables active monitoring and failure notifications through Q-SYS Reflect Enterprise Manager, which supports proactive maintenance on large-scale installations.
Compared to analog I/O breakout panels, the QIO-L4o eliminates long analog cable runs by digitizing audio at the source and transmitting over standard network infrastructure. Up to four units can daisy-chain on a single network run using local DC power, reducing switch port consumption. Surface and wall mounting hardware is included, and the quarter-rack-width form factor supports clean rack integration when the optional rack kit is used.
