The QIO-LVR4 is designed for AV integrators and system designers who need to bridge Q-SYS networked control environments with legacy or non-networked control hardware. By providing four dry contact closure relay circuits over a Gigabit Q-LAN connection, it allows installed systems to trigger external devices such as room dividers, lighting controllers, projector screens, and door interlocks without requiring those devices to have native network connectivity.
Its modular I/O architecture keeps local wiring separate from core processing hardware, which simplifies physical installation and supports phased or scalable deployments in corporate AV, higher education, hospitality, and house-of-worship environments. PoE operation reduces cabling complexity by consolidating power and data onto a single Ethernet run, while Ethernet thru ports allow multiple units to be daisy-chained without additional network infrastructure. DC power daisy-chaining provides an alternative power path when PoE is not available.
Setup is handled entirely within Q-SYS Designer Software v9.12, using a drag-and-drop workflow that reduces commissioning time compared to proprietary relay expanders that require separate configuration utilities. Surface and wall mounting hardware is included, and an optional rack kit accommodates half-rack, 1RU panel installations where needed.
