The Q-SYS QIO-ML4i is designed for AV integrators and system designers who need to add local mic/line inputs to a Q-SYS network without relocating or replacing core processing hardware. By decoupling I/O from DSP, the QIO series makes it straightforward to scale a Q-SYS system across multiple rooms or zones, placing inputs exactly where signals originate rather than running long analog cable runs back to a central rack.
The QIO-ML4i suits a wide range of installed sound applications, including corporate conferencing, higher education, houses of worship, and hospitality, where microphone connectivity must be distributed and managed centrally. Its Gigabit Q-LAN connection keeps audio on the network fabric already present in modern AV infrastructure, and PoE support simplifies cabling by eliminating the need for a separate power drop at each unit. Up to four expanders can be daisy-chained on a single network run when local DC power is used, reducing switch port consumption in larger deployments.
Integration is handled entirely within Q-SYS Designer Software, using the same drag-and-drop workflow familiar to any Q-SYS-certified designer. Microphone detection on every input enables monitoring, usage statistics, and failure notifications, giving facilities teams visibility that passive breakout solutions cannot provide. The quarter-rack, 1RU form factor supports both surface mounting and rack mounting, keeping deployment options open across furniture, millwork, and equipment rack environments.
