The SGI Stereo delivers two-channel instrument signal transport for guitar players running dual amplifiers in remote locations. Using a standard Cat5 Ethernet cable, the system drives stereo pedalboard outputs to amplifiers placed in isolation rooms, under stages, or at distance on large production floors where long unbalanced cables would introduce capacitance and noise. The discrete buffered TX transmitter connects via locking RJ45 to the impedance-matched RX receiver, preserving original tone across the full signal path.
Installation flexibility extends to existing building infrastructure: the system integrates with facility Ethernet runs where analogue tie lines don't exist, ideal for home studios and multi-room production environments. Thru outputs on the TX unit allow simultaneous connection to local amplifiers or DI boxes without re-patching, and mono summing occurs automatically when only the left thru is used. Independent ground lift switches and a 180-degree polarity reverse on the RX left output address phase issues and ground loop hum in complex amplifier configurations.
Powered by any 9–18V supply with either polarity, the TX integrates directly onto pedalboards alongside standard pedal power systems. Four premium Jensen transformers—two per unit—provide isolation, extended frequency response, and low distortion that competing passive systems cannot match, ensuring the amplifier receives the same signal integrity as a short direct cable connection.
