The Radial Bassbone V2 is built for working bass players who need complete tonal control in a single, road-worthy unit. Designed for both live performance and studio recording, it serves upright and electric bass players equally well — Input A provides a standard high-impedance connection, while Input B adds a 10-megohm piezo-optimized input with a three-band EQ and high-pass filter tailored for upright bass transducers. Each input can be dialed in independently, letting players switch between instruments without sacrificing tone.
For engineers and production teams, the built-in Radial DI delivers a balanced XLR output directly to the PA or recording console, eliminating the need for a separate direct box on stage. The discrete Class-A FET input circuit ensures low noise and high headroom across the full signal chain. The effects loop can be assigned to either input or shared across both, and the wet/dry blend control lets players preserve the natural character of their instrument when running into pedals.
The clean boost circuit adds stage-ready punch with a single footswitch activation, and can be reconfigured as a mute for silent tuning.
