At the core of this cable is a 24 AWG conductor pair with an overall aluminum/polyester shield and a 24 AWG 7/32 T.C. drain wire, delivering the 110-ohm nominal characteristic impedance that the DMX512 standard demands. Competing generic DMX cables often skip proper impedance engineering, leading to signal artifacts and unreliable fixture response — particularly in longer runs or complex multi-universe setups. This cable's low capacitance values and controlled DC resistance support clean data transmission from console to fixture.
