The RapcoHorizon YS-P series is designed for audio engineers, studio technicians, and live production crews who need a reliable insert cable to split a balanced TRS signal path into two independent TS legs. Whether you're patching outboard gear into a console insert point, feeding a stereo effects unit, or splitting a send to parallel processing chains, this Y-cable handles the job with a construction spec that matches the demands of professional use.
The TRS lead uses RHC's Lo-Z mic cable (MIC1.K) with a 95% bare annealed copper serve shield, while each TS leg runs RHC shielded instrument cable (INST1) with a composite conductive vinyl and copper serve shield. All connectors are all-metal and hand soldered — not crimped — and every cable is individually tested before it leaves the factory. That level of quality control separates this from off-the-shelf patch cables that ship untested and fail at the worst moments.
With low capacitance on both cable types and characteristic impedances matched to typical line-level gear, the YS-P maintains signal integrity across the split without loading down the source.
