The RCF CR 16-ND is purpose-built for production engineers deploying the HDL 50-A line array system in large-scale live sound environments. It consolidates the core control infrastructure into a single 10U shock-mounted flight case, eliminating the need to source and integrate individual components across a rack build. The included DX 1616 matrix processor handles audio signal routing and processing, the Control 8 master unit manages RDNet connectivity to up to 256 networked devices, and the CP16 control panel routes audio and control signals to four LK 25 multipin outputs for distribution to the system.
Each LK 25 output carries four audio channels, two RDNet channels, and two spare sends, with every signal doubled to XLR redundant outputs for fault-tolerant touring and install applications. Analog I/O, AES/EBU digital I/O, and Dante network audio input are all onboard, giving system engineers flexibility in how source signals are introduced to the system. The CR 16-ND is built for touring production companies, rental houses, and installed venue operators running RCF HDL 50-A rigs who need a single integrated control solution rather than a custom-assembled rack. Note that the Dual Switch is not included and the unit does not contain a system engine.
