The RCF DMA-82 is a two-channel Class D matrix amplifier designed for AV integrators building permanent installed sound systems in commercial environments such as restaurants, retail spaces, hospitality venues, and corporate facilities. With 2x80W into 4 or 8 ohms, bridgeable to 160W, and 70V line support, it accommodates a wide range of passive speaker loads without external processing hardware. The onboard DSP platform handles PEQ, FIR linear phase filters, bass enhancement, compressors, limiters, and environmental equalization, eliminating the need for a separate signal processor in most installs.
Integration depth sets the DMA-82 apart from basic installed amplifiers. Dedicated presets for RCF speakers reduce commissioning time, while onboard RDNet connectivity enables full remote monitoring and control via PC software or front panel OLED controls. The unit can distribute four audio channels to DMA 162P expansion units over an analog audio BUS, making it a practical hub for scalable multi-room architectures where zones need to be added without rewiring the core system. Five inputs spanning balanced, unbalanced, mic, line, paging via RJ45, and a GPI contact closure give integrators the connectivity needed to support background music, paging consoles, and remote trigger devices from a single chassis. Desktop or optional rack mounting suits both furniture-integrated and rack-room deployments.
