Connectivity options span analog, digital, and network domains simultaneously. The combination of 16 analog mic/line inputs with switchable phantom power, 8 AES/EBU inputs and outputs, Dante AoIP integration, and GPIO expansion makes the DX-1616 compatible with a wide range of system architectures, from fully analog signal chains to Dante-networked installations. The built-in Ethernet port supports both remote control and Dante transport over a standard network infrastructure, reducing cabling complexity in permanent installations.
Processing tools on both input and output stages give engineers complete per-channel and system-level control. High-pass and low-pass filtering, 5-band parametric EQ, delay, compression, shelving EQ, all-pass filters, and limiting are all accessible through a Windows/macOS browser-based GUI or the XTouchApp for iOS and Android. With 70 onboard presets, recalling complete system configurations for different room setups or productions is fast and reliable, making the DX-1616 a practical choice for rental companies, AV integrators, and touring production teams alike.
