Its three-way, bi-amped architecture pairs dual 15-inch woofers with dual 10-inch midranges and dual titanium dome compression drivers, all driven by neodymium transducers for a combination of efficiency and output headroom that passive point-source alternatives rarely match. The 90-degree horizontal by 30-degree vertical coverage pattern keeps energy focused on the audience plane, reducing reflections off walls and ceilings and giving system engineers a predictable, steerable throw.
Construction is centered on long-term durability in installed environments. The Baltic birch plywood cabinet is finished with a waterproof polyurea coating, and the steel grille is epoxy coated with an open-cell fiber and water-repellent woven-fabric backing, making the system well-suited for semi-outdoor or architecturally demanding installs. The rear cabinet profile is shaped specifically for under-balcony mounting, a practical design decision that separates the HVL 15-L1 from generic fly-ware. The internal passive crossover handles the MF-to-HF transition with Dynamic Active MOSFET protection on the MHF path, while the LF section is fed directly, giving system engineers full amplifier control over the low end.
