The RCF MQ 100L is a passive three-way column loudspeaker engineered for fixed installation in venues where acoustic conditions or visual requirements demand a disciplined approach. Worship spaces, lecture halls, conference rooms, museums, and transportation terminals are exactly the environments this speaker addresses: long reverberation times, hard parallel surfaces, or sight-line restrictions that rule out bulkier enclosures. The 100V constant-voltage transformer with four selectable power taps makes it a direct fit for distributed audio systems, giving integrators the flexibility to balance coverage and zone loading without additional transformers.
What separates the MQ 100L from a generic surface-mount column is the precision of its dispersion pattern. The 180° horizontal coverage keeps listeners on the edges of a room within the coverage arc, while the 60° vertical dispersion is asymmetrically biased 40° downward and 20° upward. The vertical axis is pre-angled 10° downward from the factory, which reduces the need to tilt the bracket aggressively and keeps the cabinet sitting flush against the wall. The included wall-mount bracket supports three tilt positions, and the slim plastic-body, steel-grille construction integrates cleanly with finished architectural surfaces.
Three-way topology with dedicated woofers, midrange drivers, and dome tweeters crossing over at 2000 Hz reproduces both speech intelligibility and musical program with a fidelity level uncommon in 100V column speakers. PTC protection on the tweeter section guards against overdrive in long-running installed deployments. The MQ 100L is available in black and white finishes, allowing integrators to match the enclosure to the room's decor without compromising performance.
