PKX, a modified polyether ether ketone compound reinforced with structural ribs, provides a rigidity-to-mass ratio that supports accurate high-frequency reproduction under sustained high-power conditions. Paired with a Kapton former, edgewound aluminum voice coil, and a neodymium magnet system rated at 2.1 Tesla flux density, the driver maintains controlled performance across its full operating bandwidth without the weight penalty associated with ferrite motor systems.
A copper inductance ring reduces upper-frequency inductance rise, extending usable response and lowering distortion in the critical presence region. The 3-slot PP composite phase plug optimizes acoustic loading at the 1-inch exit throat, and the four-point 6mm threaded mounting pattern simplifies alignment and fitment into standard horn assemblies.
