The flameproof steel back can, ceramic input and output terminal blocks, and internal flameproof cable runs are all purpose-built to maintain circuit integrity at elevated temperatures during a fire event, a level of protection that standard commercial ceiling speakers cannot provide.
On the audio side, the 6" full-range transducer delivers the high speech intelligibility that alarm broadcasting demands, with a wide 131-degree coverage angle suited to low-ceiling distributed layouts. The onboard 100V step-down transformer offers four selectable power taps, giving system designers the flexibility to balance zone loading without external attenuators. A thermal fuse provides an additional layer of line protection. The steel frame, grille, and back can contribute to long-term durability in both accessible and concealed plenum installations, while the white RAL 9003 finish integrates cleanly into finished ceiling environments. RCF recommends pairing this speaker with the DXT 3000, DXT 4000, or DXT 7000 amplifier series for a fully matched system.
