The RCF PL 8X is built for AV integrators and system designers specifying distributed audio in commercial, hospitality, retail, and light industrial environments. The coaxial 2-way driver configuration delivers full-range coverage from a single ceiling cutout, making it a practical choice for spaces where clean aesthetics and consistent coverage both matter. The integrated line transformer connects directly to 70V or 100V constant-voltage amplifier systems without additional hardware, and the multi-tap design lets installers set the output level per zone from the speaker itself.

Installation is engineered to save time on the job site. A three-hook spring-clip system secures the speaker into the ceiling cutout without screws, backplates, or additional mounting hardware, a real advantage on large-scale installs across multiple rooms or floors. The UL 94 V0 rated plastic frame meets fire-resistance requirements relevant to commercial building codes, while the IP44 protection rating makes the speaker suitable for semi-exposed locations such as covered outdoor areas, bathrooms, or kitchen zones where splash resistance is required.
