The RCF S passive subwoofer family is built for systems integrators and production engineers who need scalable, high-output low-frequency reinforcement across installed sound venues, outdoor festivals, and touring line array rigs. Depending on the variant selected, the series covers compact club and corporate installs through stadium-scale outdoor deployments, making it a single product line that can grow with a system design rather than requiring a category change as demands increase.
Each cabinet uses a high-quality multi-ply plywood construction finished in a heavy-duty coating and protected by a steel grille, delivering the structural durability required for permanent install and repeated road use alike. The bass-reflex tuning extends low-frequency output well below what the cabinet size would suggest, and every enclosure in the range supports ground-stacking as well as cardioid array configurations for improved rear rejection. An M20 threaded pole mount is integrated on the top panel across the range, and side handles ease positioning. These cabinets are passive designs requiring an external amplifier, and RCF specifies compatible amplifiers for each variant to ensure the system is driven correctly.
Where the S series distinguishes itself from competing passive subwoofers is in the combination of neodymium transducer technology, polyurea cabinet finishing, and the availability of weatherproof variants engineered specifically for outdoor permanent installation. The WP models add acoustically transparent water-repellent fabric within the grille assembly and IP67-rated connectors, allowing deployment in environments where standard cabinets would require additional enclosure.
