The RCF VSA-2050-W MK2 is a multi-amplified digitally steerable column array built for audio integrators and system designers tackling high-reverberation installed environments. Houses of worship, conference centers, transportation terminals, and courtrooms all present acoustic challenges that conventional point-source or line-array solutions struggle to manage. This system addresses those challenges by processing the signal sent to each of its twenty individual amplifier channels through onboard 48 kHz, 32-bit DSPs that shape vertical dispersion in real time, directing acoustic energy precisely at listeners and away from ceilings and floors that would otherwise generate harmful reflections and degrade speech intelligibility.
Where passive column speakers offer fixed dispersion patterns, the VSA-2050-W MK2 allows the installer to continuously adjust vertical coverage from 10 to 30 degrees and steer the beam from 0 to -40 degrees, all without repositioning the physical cabinet. The extruded aluminum body keeps the form factor slim and architecturally unobtrusive, while included installation hardware and EN 60849 monitoring indicators satisfy life-safety system requirements in jurisdictions that demand it.
