The RCF X-08 is engineered for AV integrators specifying permanent installed sound in demanding indoor and outdoor environments. Its structural polyurethane cabinet paired with an aluminum grille backed by a water-repellent fabric layer achieves IP55 protection, making it a credible choice for covered outdoor venues, transit hubs, sports facilities, and worship spaces where exposure to dust and moisture is a recurring concern. EN54-24:2008 certification means the X-08 also qualifies for life-safety voice evacuation systems, a requirement that eliminates most competing install speakers from consideration on regulated projects.
Audio performance is driven by a neodymium 8-inch woofer with a 2.5-inch voice coil and a 1.0-inch neodymium PKX compression driver on a 1.75-inch voice coil, crossing over at 2000 Hz. The result is a constant 100-degree horizontal by 100-degree vertical dispersion pattern across the operating bandwidth, which simplifies coverage planning in symmetrical rooms and reduces the need for supplemental fill. With 400 W RMS power handling, a 1600 W peak rating, and a dynamic active MOSFET protection circuit, the X-08 tolerates the amplifier headroom that integrators routinely build into system designs. Four-pole barrier strip terminals accept daisy-chaining for distributed system wiring without additional hardware.
A horizontal wall bracket ships with every unit, and dedicated vertical mounting accessories are available separately. The cabinet is available in RAL 9005 black and RAL 9003 white to match architectural finishes. At under 22 pounds, installation by a two-person crew is straightforward, and the M10 rigging points on all four sides provide flexibility for custom mounting configurations.
