The Saramonic LavMicro U3A is an ultracompact clip-on lavalier mic with a USB-C connector that plugs directly into the USB-C port on Android mobile devices and modern computers that have USB-C ports, like the MacBook Pro and Chromebooks. It has a 6.6-foot (2m) cable provides an ideal amount of length for popular audio and video applications techniques like handheld vlogging, personal interviews, incognito audio capture and numerous other applications where too much cable would get in the way. A reusable cable strap is provided to keep the cable tidy when in storage, and in use, when you don’t need as much length.
There are times that you need to use the mic when there isn’t much space available around your smartphone or device, like when a smartphone is mounted in a gimbal. That’s why the LavMicro U3A comes with the SR-C2005, a handy 90-degree right-angle USB-C adapter with male-to-female ports. It’s as compact as possible which lets you fit USB Type-C cables and connectors into tight spaces while relieving unwanted strain on ports and equipment.
This is a high-quality microphone that delivers rich, broadcast-quality sound. It features an omnidirectional pickup pattern that captures sound equally in every direction, which means you don’t need to worry about what direction it’s pointing in when you clip it to your clothing. In addition to the right-angle USB-C adapter, an alligator-style mic clip, a foam windscreen, a reusable cable strap, and a storage pouch with a locking drawstring are all included.
