The sE6160 is a hand-crafted true condenser shotgun microphone engineered for professional live sound, broadcast, and location recording where gain-before-feedback and directional rejection are critical. Its tight super-cardioid (lobar) polar pattern and gold-sputtered small-diaphragm capsule isolate desired sources while rejecting crowd noise, camera motor interference, and off-axis ambience—making it ideal for in-ear monitor feeds, on-set dialogue capture, and orchestra spot miking in challenging acoustic spaces.
Built into a roadworthy die-cast housing, the sE6160 includes a switchable pre-attenuation pad (10 or 20 dB) to handle extreme SPLs up to 157 dBSPL without distortion, and a low-cut filter (80 or 160 Hz) to roll off rumble and handling noise. These controls make it equally at home on a live stage as a broadcast or touring production truck, eliminating the need for external signal conditioning on most sources.
