The V KICK Black is purpose-built for kick drums and bass sources in touring, arena, and club environments where capturing low-frequency energy and transient punch is critical. Its custom DMC7 SB capsule employs an aluminum voice coil—significantly lighter than industry-standard copper—to deliver open, transient-rich response with effortless low-end capture. The supercardioid polar pattern provides focused rejection of ambient stage noise.
Two rear-panel switches enable four distinct voicing modes: Classic and Modern settings each offer warm-rounded or contemporary-aggressive character, allowing sound engineers to optimize the mic for the specific kit, venue, or musical style without changing equipment during quick changeovers. The integrated swivel joint and extremely low-profile housing accommodate both internal (through kick drum port) and external placement, while the beveled grille edge prevents rolling on stage or amplifier surfaces.
