The adapter frame mounts directly to the speaker body before it goes into the ceiling, so rough-in and trim-out stay on separate trades and separate schedules.
Once the ceiling is finished, the square grille clips into the installed frame with no tools and no additional hardware. The two-step assembly sequence reduces callbacks and keeps the finished ceiling surface clean.
