The SoundTube LA808i-II-BK is a black line array speaker element built specifically for use with the LA880i 3-way line array. It is not a subwoofer. Its role within the system is to increase low-frequency directivity, making it a practical choice for installations where speech intelligibility and tonal control are challenged by long reverberation times. When added to an LA880i, it can extend directional low-frequency performance up to an octave lower than the LA880i alone.

Because the enclosure shares the same dimensions as the LA880i, it integrates cleanly into array builds and must be positioned directly above or directly below the LA880i for proper operation. Installers can also deploy two units with one above and one below the LA880i when the design calls for additional system optimization. Connection options include 4-pin 5.08 mm Euroblock and SpeakON, and the cabinet includes accessories for system linking and secure installation.

For professional AV projects, the LA808i-II-BK is suited to large, reflective environments where controlled coverage matters. The enclosure uses painted MDF and plywood construction with a powder-coated steel grille, and it includes hardware such as a 4-pin Euroblock, jumper cable, LINK side plates, safety bracket, and safety cable to support installation workflow.
