The six-position tap switch supports 25V, 70.7V, and 100V transformer operation as well as a 16-ohm bypass, so a single SKU covers virtually every distributed audio topology without requiring separate part numbers for each voltage format.
Voice intelligibility is a primary design target, with an independently verified average coverage angle of 80 degrees at 10 kHz — a metric that matters in large open-plan spaces, corridors, and reverberant environments where speech clarity must hold up under EN60849 and BS5839-8 voice alarm requirements. The 16-ohm bypass setting allows multiples of two, four, or six units to run from a standard amplifier without a transformer, reducing system cost in smaller zones.
