The SoundTube CM800i-WH is engineered for AV integrators and system designers specifying distributed audio in commercial environments where coverage consistency and install efficiency are non-negotiable. The patented BroadBeam Ring waveguide delivers a 120° average dispersion angle across the 2–10 kHz range, reducing the number of speakers required to cover large areas uniformly — a direct advantage in cost-sensitive installs like retail, hospitality, and corporate facilities.
The cast-aluminum baffle and heat sink assembly supports a 1.0" convex titanium tweeter with FerroFluid cooling alongside an 8" polypropylene woofer, providing reliable thermal management in ceiling cavities where airflow is limited. The transformer supports 25V, 70.7V, and 100V line operation with a bypass position, selectable via a six-position rotary tap switch — no tools required for tap changes in the field. The blind-mount fixed-wing mechanism accommodates ceiling thicknesses from 0.25" to 1.91", eliminating the need for separate mounting hardware across mixed construction types.
UL 1480 (UEAY) and UL 2043 certifications make this speaker compliant for plenum-rated installations, and the included tile bridge, conduit plate, Euroblock connector, and paint mask address the most common install challenges out of the box. The tool-free magnetic grille with integrated safety cable further reduces labor time during commissioning and routine maintenance.
