The Light Source Inc. Mega-Coupler with Nylock Nut is engineered for riggers and lighting integrators who need a reliable bolt-style clamp for truss and pipe applications where wing nuts are not preferred. The Nylock nut replaces the aluminum wing nut in the bolt assembly, providing a tamper-resistant, vibration-resistant connection suited for touring rigs, installed theatrical systems, and permanent or semi-permanent truss structures where clamp hardware integrity is critical.

The grade 8 hex head cap screw seats into a hex-milled pocket in the clamp body, preventing rotation during tightening so the Nylock nut can be driven without a secondary wrench holding the bolt. This design is particularly practical when the clamp is already mounted on a truss tube, a common scenario in fast-paced load-in environments. The 14 mm thick base meets the industry-standard specification required for compatibility across major truss systems.

Clamp capacity spans from 1-1/4 inch pipe at 1.66 inch OD up to 2 inch OD truss tube, covering the range most commonly encountered in stage and event production. Each unit ships with a grade 8 zinc-plated hex head bolt, a Belleville washer, and the Nylock nut.
