The Light Source MTBC4 Mega-Tent Beam Clamp is built for production riggers and staging integrators who need a reliable, load-rated connection point on free-span tent beam structures. Designed specifically to engage the Keder track slot found at the bottom of tent beams, this clamp opens wide enough to seat firmly on both sides of the slot, ensuring a centered, secure grip every time. It is an essential hardware solution for touring productions, festival stages, corporate events, and any application where lighting, audio, or scenic loads must be suspended from tent beam infrastructure.
The clamp's load attachment block and jaws are CNC-machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, keeping weight low without compromising structural integrity. The triple-shaft steel mechanism uses a captive vise-style handle on the fine-pitch left/right threaded center shaft, allowing controlled tightening directly on the beam. The two outer shafts float in bearings through the load block and opposite jaw, distributing clamping force evenly. A centered hole accommodates a 5/8" shackle, while two drilled and tapped holes accept Mega-Couplers for pipe attachment, giving riggers flexible load connection options in a single clamp body.
Rated for up to a 1-ton design load with a minimum 10:1 design factor, the MTBC4 requires load and span approval from the tent manufacturer for each specific application, making coordination with the tent supplier a required step before use. This clamp is sold individually and is engineered for professionals who demand precision hardware with documented load ratings for overhead rigging in tent environments.
