The TOA BG-220 CU is a 20W mixer amplifier engineered for permanent commercial audio installations where background music and general announcements share a single-zone output. With three selectable inputs, multiple speaker output taps, and a Music-On-Hold output, it covers the core requirements of a commercial paging and BGM system in a compact 2U chassis.

Where the BG-220 CU stands apart from generic commercial amplifiers is its expandability through the optional BA-200 Series booster amplifiers. The MOH OUT enables a two-channel broadcast configuration when paired with the BA-235 or BA-260, extending coverage to a second zone without a separate mixer stage. Any of the three inputs can be assigned to the MOH output, giving an installer precise control over what source reaches each zone. The auto and manual mute function with adjustable sensitivity makes it straightforward to prioritize paging over background music without manual operator intervention.

Installation is simplified through removable terminal blocks on all inputs and outputs, rear-panel DIP switches for system configuration, and recessed tamper-proof tone controls that prevent unauthorized adjustments after commissioning. The result is a system that integrators can deploy quickly, configure cleanly, and hand off to end-user staff with minimal training requirements.
